When Something Is Said

So you made it through the third or fourth date and things seemed to be going well between the two of you, and then one day, no phone call. Don't panic-it's just a formality. The days go bad and you begin to wonder why there has not been a phone call or even an email. When you finally get in touch with the person to find out why there wasn't a phone call, there may be a bit of a hesitation on either part. When you ask a question, make sure you are ready for the answer.

"I feel that I am not the right person for you." What is that actually saying? Point blank, that person is not interested in getting to know you any further or they may feel they are simply not ready to get into anything serious at that moment and just want to do a lot of mingling. Instead of beating around the bush, honesty is the best policy. But make sure also that you are dealing with someone who can handle rejection. Okay, many people can't handle rejection when they are into someone that they want to see again.

"I've been working late." Same as the first-that person is simply not into you. He or she is into someone else. In some cases, that person may be working late. It's all about knowing how to read that person. Sometimes that is hard to do. If you're just hearing it; it's the tone of voice being used and the speed to how it's being said. Eyes are the mirror to the soul so if you are looking that person in the face when he or she says "I've been working late." follow the eyes.

"My car needs work." Hmmm, a very difficult one to analyze because anyone can have car trouble, but if this is happening too many times when they ask for a rain check, that only means that they have something else going on and all they are doing is playing games.

These are just a few sayings that you might start to hear after the dating period is over. And if you don't see much of each other when you start to date, that's also evidence that you'll be wasting your valuable you have that could be spent worthwhile with someone else. As someone said a very long time ago, "Talk is cheap." Speak up.
